The optical alarm is best suited to detect home fires where furniture and electricals will produce slow, smoldering fires. It has a proven optical sensor chamber and a built-in mesh screen to reduce insect and dust contamination.
The alarm is 230V AC mains connectable with a 9V alkaline battery backup power supply. The battery will last for 4 years in standby mode and up to 2 years in power mode when the main supply has been removed.
