Overview
Defence Standard cables were initially manufactured for military use to Defence Standard 61/12 Part 4 and 5. However, they are now more commonly used for industrial applications such as aircraft, computers and data processors. The cable can withstand contamination of fuel and mineral based fluids.

- To Ministry of Defence Standard DEF 61-12 (Part 4 for 7/0.2 conductors, Part 5 for 16/0.2 conductors)
- Flame propagation to BS4066 PT1

Construction
- Conductors: Tinned Annealed Flexible Copper
- Insulation: LSZH
- Binding: Non-hygroscopic binder tape
- Screen: Tinned annealed copper wire braid
- Sheath: LSZH
- Colour: Black
Characteristics
- Voltage Rating: 440 volts
- Temperature limits: -55°C to +70°C
- Minimum Bending Radius: As Per Manufacturers Datasheet
Should not be installed at temperatures below 0°C

- 10 core laid up in a pair configuration. Please refer to associated colour code chart in datasheet PDF.
