The EI144 Aico Heat Alarm is mains fitted to 230V but also comes with a 9V battery backup. The battery life will last for up to 4 years in standby mode and 2 years if the power supply source is removed. The Aico Heat Alarm is most suited to Kitchens and Garages where there may be a risk of false alarms from fumes (these are picked up by Ionisation or Optical alarm systems). The EI144 will be triggered when the atmosphere temperature reaches 58°C.
